Yes, I sell this custom aroid mix quite often to avid aroid collectors. I really enjoy making this soil mix as well, it is something with being able to put different types of substrates into a bucket creating the perfect mix of well draining soil mix that makes me feel like the best plant parent alive.

I have had such a great response to this mix with my anthuriums and philodendrons. Two of my favorite types of tropical house plants. This soil is great for any type of plant that thrives with having large amounts of aeration to the plants roots.

What made me want to make my own soil mixture? Well when it comes to big box stores I feel that with the recent boom to have and own tropical plants from the other side of the world, the stores didn't have what was needed to keep my plants alive let alone thrive. With the only option being mostly dirt that had little to no perlite to help with drainage. Also, when I was just starting out with owning house plants I had tended to overwater at the beginning which led to root rot, and then ... well you know.. led to death of so many of my newly acquired plant babies.

Ok, enough with the reasons why I have made my own soil mix... lets see some results!

4 Cups Coco Coir Chips

Couple Shakes Of Mosquito Bits
